Having completed the renovation of the 4200 square foot barn with her husband, Dan, they recently hosted a Holiday Extravaganza featuring a variety of artists, both demonstrating and selling their work.
As the public engaged in conversation with the various artists and shopped on the three floors of the barn, the 30 foot stone fireplace created a cozy atmosphere with the warmth of its glow.
On one floor a guitarist played and sang in the background, while on another a solo harpist provided mellow music as the public wandered among the displays. Catered mini sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres and desserts were offered along with punch and wine, as Terri warmly greeted those who came to the celebration.
As their website says and they confirmed, “The restoration has been a labor of love to preserve history, add value and function to a space that was quietly deteriorating and offer a place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.”
They hope that the public will take advantage of the art and classes the Chateau has to offer as well as using the barn as a venue for special events such as weddings or retreats. It has always been Terri’s burning passion to share creativity and inspire creativity in others, and this is what the Creative Chateau is already doing.
“Everyone has gifts to share,” Terri commented, “and I want to inspire others.”
